From Kanda & Akihabara,
to the World.
AKIBA JAPAN was born from the shared vision of those who work, gather, and live in this neighborhood. Honoring Akihabara's culture and history, we build the future of this community together with the world.
Background
The History of
Akihabara & Kanda
In recent years, the number of international tourists visiting Japan has increased, and Akihabara consistently ranks among the most popular destinations. Known today as the anime and gaming district, it previously developed as a PC hub and before that as an electronics district.
Looking at the broader Kanda area, Kanda Myojin Shrine dates back to the Nara period, and the district flourished as a craftsmen's town during the Edo period.

Our Story
What We
Aim For
As people who work, gather, and live in Kanda and Akihabara, we want to enhance the appeal of this town and share it with the world. We study its history and culture, participate in local events, and take on environmental activities and new ways of working.
Since around 2024, members with the same vision have come together, engaging in social media outreach, study sessions, and cleanup activities. We continue our efforts, aiming to contribute not only to tourism and the economy but also to mutual understanding with the world.
To welcome more participants, build trust, and expand our activities, we established an NPO corporation.
